Health Care Funding
East Berkshire Health and Social Care Services have been awarded an additional £6.64 million from the Government health pot.
The funding came through the local Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, commissioning groups, local authorities, South Central Ambulance Service and Berkshire Healthcare working together to submit a joint bid.
A focus of the spending will see improvement to urgent care services, including increased bed capacity locally and changes to the A&E department.

Development In Langley
Outline plans are in place to regenerate the Merrymakers site. The pub and the New Langley Community Association Hall would be demolished, to be replaced with a community and healthy living centre, alongside new housing.
Councillor James Swindlehurst is responsible for neighbourhood renewal and would doubtless be pleased to hear from residents. He stated:
"Plans are still at a very early stage. The main thing now is to seek the ideas of the community and see what they would like in there."

Unpleasant Clampers
A car clamping company caught using aggressive tactics in the Harrow Market car park has been fined £3,000, plus costs and compensation.
They were accused of blocking motorists in and clamping people before they had left their cars. Councillor Sohail Munawar stated:
"This company deliberately mislead, intimidated and ultimately ripped off their victims as part of an elaborate parking scam. I am pleased that justice has prevailed."
